How Much Time Do You Spend Rocking the Tiny Keyboard? (aka TEXTING)

31% of cell phone users prefer to be contacted by text.

According to a PEW study (http://cnet.co/reC3SF), out yesterday, calling and texting move in tandem.

83% of American adults own cell phones and 73% engage in swapping text messages.

This study slices & dices texting data by age group, gender, race, household income and education level. Households without individuals who have at least some college education and/or a household with an income of <$30,000 are more likely to text than their counterparts. While Whites are less likely to text than Blacks or Hispanics, and women less likely to text than men.
