Sr. Recruiter (42211) San Diego, California
Directs executive, professional, technical, and non-exempt recruiting including college/university recruiting.
Oversees the identification of potential candidates, interviewing, selection, and placement of candidates for employment.
Ensures recruiting strategy, methodology, and processes are aligned with the company’s talent strategy and desired employee capabilities/skills.
Directs the design and placement of employment advertising.
Has social media, recruiting experience.
Responsible for relations with outside employment agencies, contractors, and recruiters.
Ensures compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting function.
Responsible for developing strong relationships with community groups, professional networking organizations to proactively identify talent.
Consults with corporate and field operations to ensure alignment between recruiting needs and recruiting strategy;
Partners with corporate and field managers to obtain and confirm search requests that clearly indicate key responsibilities, requirements, environmental conditions, compensation, etc;
Performs comprehensive targeted research strategy for qualified candidates via internal company databases, associations and discussions with other research personnel. Utilizes marketing and branding to attract and recruit;
Establishes and maintains candidate database of pre-qualified to meet current and anticipated staffing needs through direct sourcing, networking, internet and database searches;
Serves as the recruiting liaison for company-sponsored committees and initiatives such as the Diversity Council and college recruitment programs;
Researches, assembles, analyzes and makes recommendations regarding recruiting processes and metrics by generating recruitment activity reports;
Interviews and screens candidates to ensure their qualifications meet open positions;
Conducts skills testing, office interviews, reference checks, and background investigations;
Collaborates with other HR functions on recruiting issues (e.g., new hire requirements, compensation, etc);
Presents job opportunities to qualified candidates and negotiates contract terms;
Coordinates with contract recruiter(s) during time periods of high volume/need to conduct screening, testing and interviewing;
At higher levels, may provide functional guidance, advice and/or training to less-experienced recruiting staff.
Ensures recruitment practices are compliant with applicable state and federal laws.
Networks with various technical and professional organizations to share CCI’s employee value proposition.
This job is based in San Diego, with travel up to 25% to other Cox California campuses.
Requires BS/BA or Associates degree in related discipline;
Generally 5-7 years of experience in related field, ideally a corporate environment;
Certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 5-7 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas; AIRS certification preferred.
