Job Description


Provide leadership to organization wide full life-cycle recruiting and retention efforts encompassing primarily IT and engineering positions as well as corporate infrastructure positions both CONUS and OCONUS. Develop and guide recruiting staff within a matrixed environment in collaboration with business unit/functional area leadership. Maintain responsibility for actively filling assigned positions while balancing the assigned positions and work capacity of recruiting team. Ensure company processes, policies, and practices are followed. Lead efforts to streamline administrative processes based on industry and company best practices while ensuring all federal and state regulations are met to maximize potential/minimize risk. Ensure eager candidate interaction by role modeling expert candidate handling skills while marketing Smartronix through every interaction with business contacts. Develop traditional and strategic sourcing candidate pipelines including, but not limited to: open position candidate pools, diversity candidates, internal career mobility, employee referrals, universities, professional associations and networking groups, military outplacement programs, social media channels, internet job boards, tradeshows/job fairs, Smartronix alumni, external recruiting agencies. Role model negotiation and candidate closing skills. Work with business units and functional area leadership to create, implement, and assess unique market-specific recruiting strategies. Administer all facets of ATS. Establish and analyze recruiting metrics to extract key findings and modify recruiting approach. Develop and present reports regularly with senior leadership regarding recruiting activities, successes, challenges, and needs. Develop the capabilities and competencies of recruiting team. Work with corporate functional leads to ensure seamless transition from candidate stage through 30 days post onboarding.

Required Skills

10+ years relevant experience.

Proven candidate sourcing skills.

Strong knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws and EEO and OFCCP compliance requirements.

AIRS certification(s) preferred.

Solid awareness of general Human Resources principles and practices.

Experience in professional services environment, government contracting, DoD, and cleared facilities.

Ability to develop excellent working relationships with colleagues and client staff.

Ability to produce expected results in a rapidly-changing, deadline-driven environment while managing parallel tasks.

Ability to exhibit independent judgment in deciding the priorities and procedures to follow.

Ability to influence the success of others resulting in consistent, high-quality service across all business units.

Demonstrated excellent client handling skills.

Ability to solve problems of a sensitive nature.

Possession of excellent management, analytical, interpersonal, presentation, and supervisory skills.

Possession of excellent computer skills (MS Office and ATS).

Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.

Availability for monthly or as needed travel to Smartronix offices in the local DC/VA region and to offices outside of the local region as needed.
