PG&E’s Recruiting department is a dynamic group within the Human Resources organization that focuses on strategically aligning itself with the lines of business to identify, recruit, and acquire top talent to get the right people, in the right jobs, at the right time. Position Summary

The Principal Recruiter will be responsible for conducting full lifecycle strategic talent searches and will partner with senior management in support of business units. This individual will lead the development and management of an array of strategies and action plans to meet short and long-term recruiting and sourcing needs and objectives. The incumbent will also provide thought leadership on new talent acquisition tools, processes, policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively at the executive level, as well as strong consulting, influencing and negotiating expertise. This candidate will also have the ability to develop key relationships (may include Diversity & Inclusion, HR Delivery, Compensation and Workforce Planning) and will have solid business acumen. The successful candidate can hit the ground running, able to be a contributing member to the Recruiting Leadership Team and a strategic partner to line of business leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Minimum 10 Years of related experience
  • Minimum 1 year of project management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience focused on full lifecycle recruiting, sourcing, networking, market research and relationship management
  • People management/supervisor experience
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring and training
  • Experience with in-house recruiting for large organizations (10,000+ employees)
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)/Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
  • AIRS Certification and/or Training (CIR or ACIR or CDR)
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and training or prior supervisory experience desired
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience complying with government regulations relating to hiring practices, including but not limited to: OFCCP, EEO, and Affirmative Action
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis and communication
  • Demonstrated computer skills, specific strength using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience or familiarity with SAP eRecruiting as an applicant tracking and recruitment tool
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of human resource administration
  • Energy and utility experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage a large scale recruiting project
  • Provide relationship management at the executive level, providing analytics, strategic guidance, direction and consultation
  • Supervise, coach, mentor and guide the work and development of assigned recruiters.
  • Build and execute recruiting strategies and plans in support of business objectives working with various groups in HR and in the business
  • Partner with Recruiting Manager to formulate and execute short and long-term talent
  • Conduct strategic searches for senior level individual contributor and management jobs; develop and implement innovative recruiting solutions
  • Assist with the development and management of the diversity outreach strategy; responsible for Affirmative Action Plans for assigned client groups
  • Supervise, coach, mentor and guide the work and development of assigned recruiters.
  • Assist with resource management and allocation to include assignment of open requisitions, as required
  • Responsible for data compilation and analysis
  • Lead cross functional projects for the recruiting department that have impact across Human

Resources

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry and function best practices and trends and provide recommendations for implementation across department
  • Manage relationships with external search firms considering expected results and associated costs
  • Responsible for program development and project initiatives for Line of Business or skill sets
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal regulations impacting hiring practices
