We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting the recruitment process and ensures that all candidates receive a positive employment experience through professional customer-oriented employment practices. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the ‘front end’ of the recruiting process (finding, filtering, qualifying, and presenting candidates) to build a strong talent pipeline for our open positions. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also utilize creative and outside-the-box sourcing techniques to target candidates via Boolean search strings, social media, and other methods.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Provides talent acquisition support including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, and presenting qualified potential candidates to hiring managers.
  • Assists with leveraging multiple recruitment channels including, but not limited to; social media, internet recruiting, professional networks, university recruiting, industry contacts, referrals, trade groups, job boards, etc.
  • Provide system administrator support and maintain thorough documentation for the Applicant Tracking and Performance Management systems.
  • Identify strategic search opportunities and assist in managing search strategy for priority roles.
  • Manage job postings on a variety of external job sites
  • Source and develop passive candidates through networking, cold calling, complex internet searches, social media, research, etc.
  • Will assist in the new hire orientation and on-boarding processes for the headquarters location.
  • Prepares and new hire paperwork and maintains personnel files including I-9.
  • Ensures recruiting and hiring processes are compliant with EEO/Diversity policies and OFCCP guidelines and practices.
  • May assist with talent management programs and will support the implementation of any other HR projects, programs and specific business initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for the Talent Specialist role, candidates must possess:

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR/SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus.
  • Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) or Certified Diversity Recruiter (CDR) a plus

Experience:

  • Social Network Sourcing
  • 2+ years of related professional Human Resource experience with an emphasis in Talent Acquisition or Staffing.
  • Proven social networking and sourcing experience
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the Consumer Packaged Goods and/or manufacturing industry preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Proficient in MS Office; Outlook and Excel a must.
  • Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • A strong understanding of Boolean string creations
  • Knowledge of applicable state, federal, local employment labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential information and sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
